 FAQs

  • The clothing you wear when using motorsport simulators can depend on a few factors, such as the type of simulator you're using, the level of immersion you're seeking, and your personal preferences. Here are a few things to consider:

Comfort: It's important to wear comfortable clothing that allows you to focus on the task at hand without any distractions. Avoid clothing that is too loose or restrictive.

Safety: Depending on the type of simulator you're using, you may want to wear clothing that provides some level of protection. For example, if you're using a simulator with a motion platform, you may want to wear shoes with closed toes to protect your feet.

Immersion: If you're looking to fully immerse yourself in the racing experience, you may want to consider wearing racing-specific clothing, such as a racing suit or driving gloves. This can help you feel more like a real race car driver and enhance the realism of the experience.

Personal preferences: Ultimately, the clothing you wear for motorsport simulators is a matter of personal preference. Some people may prefer to wear casual clothing, while others may prefer to dress up in racing gear. The most important thing is to find a balance between comfort and functionality.

  • It is possible for some people to experience motion sickness or other forms of discomfort while using virtual reality (VR) systems. This is due to the disconnect between what the user sees and what their body is physically experiencing. When the visual information being received by the brain conflicts with the vestibular system (which is responsible for balance and spatial awareness), it can cause feelings of nausea, dizziness, and disorientation.

There are a few things that can be done to help reduce the risk of VR-induced motion sickness:

Take breaks: It's important to take breaks and give your brain and eyes a chance to rest.

Use a comfortable headset: Make sure the headset fits well and doesn't put too much pressure on your head or face.

Adjust the VR settings: Some VR systems allow you to adjust the field of view or the level of motion blur, which can help reduce discomfort.

Start slowly: If you're new to VR, it can be helpful to start with shorter sessions and gradually build up your tolerance.

Avoid playing games that involve fast movement or intense action: These types of games can be more likely to cause motion sickness.

Try using VR in a seated position: Standing or moving around while using VR can increase the risk of motion sickness.

If you're still experiencing discomfort after trying these tips, it may be helpful to consult a healthcare professional for further guidance.

  • We strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all of our clients. We primarily use bucket seats for our simulators, which are designed to provide a snug and secure fit. However, we do offer several sizes of seats to accommodate a range of body types and sizes. If you have any concerns about the fit of our seats, please don't hesitate to contact us before your booking. We will do our best to make accommodations to ensure your visit is smooth and enjoyable.

In addition to our bucket seats, we also have sports recliners available for use. These seats may be more suitable for clients who are larger in size. To help you make an informed decision about which seat is best for you, we will list the maximum waist size for each rig on our website.

If you have any other questions or concerns about your visit, please don't hesitate to contact us. We'll be happy to help you have the best possible experience at our facility.

  • At our facility, we offer wheelchair access and a shared disabled toilet located just a short distance away. Additionally, we are dedicated to accommodating individuals with physical disabilities and offer modified rigs equipped with hand controls for easy use. Let us help you experience the thrill of off-road driving, regardless of any physical challenges you may face.

  • At our facility, we offer top-of-the-line simulation equipment from leading brands such as Fanatic, OSW, Simucube, Recaro, Sparco, Trakracer, and OMP. In addition to using new equipment, we also resell, refurbish, and refresh older sim gear to provide our customers with cost-effective options. Some of our seats have even been recycled from former race cars and have passed their expiration date for FIA stickers. With our diverse range of brands and equipment, you can trust that we have the best tools for a realistic and immersive racing experience.

Young Drivers

At Forrest Motorsport, fostering a passion for motorsport and esports in the younger generation is one of our primary missions. We're enthusiastic about nurturing the talents of budding racers and are thrilled to introduce kids to the thrilling world of simulated racing.

We cater to enthusiasts starting from the age of 8. While we've noticed that some children at this age might experience challenges with hand-eye coordination, our setups are flexible to ensure they still enjoy the experience. To aid younger drivers, we activate driver assistance tools in our sims, making it easier for them to navigate the virtual racetracks.

It's essential to note, however, that our insurance policies necessitate that children under the age of 12 be accompanied by a parent or guardian while on our simulators. If parents wish to take a break during this time, we are fortunate to be located beside an exceptional coffee shop, known not just for their brews but also their delectable gelato.

Family is central to our ethos. We warmly encourage families to race together. Whether it's a regular day out or a special family trip, racing side by side can make for memorable bonding moments.

For those interested in the specifics, our adult simulators have a safety recommendation for users to be at least 138 cm (4’6”) tall. As for the well-being of our young clientele, please be assured that our entire staff undergoes CRB checks, and we adhere to rigorous guidelines designed to ensure safety and comfort.

Though we can't prophesy if your young one might emulate the feats of racing legends like Lewis, Lando, Max, or Charles, we firmly believe in their potential. Our commitment is to provide the best environment for them to flourish. Please note, our facility does not offer Mario Kart or Forza.
